  • Because of ignorance. We've all been there. But you can't TEACH wisdom. Let them find out how little they know.

  • it just cracks me up when my daughter says mom I already knew that, lol. I'm like "Really? How could you have possible known that when you never even seen or heard it before? Teenagers are weird but you gotta love 'em.

  • Oohhh - Why was I given a thumbs down? Ignorance is a part of life. It means that things haven't been experienced yet in order to know about them. As I said - we've ALL been there. *eyeroll*

  • because hormones take over their brains......

  • Because they are teenagers and learn things in school at an earlier age and sometimes, they really do know more than we do, just not about life. They have more book smarts at an early age and still need to learn street smarts. The only way for them to do that is to have the freedom to make mistakes and learn from those mistakes.

  • Because they have the facts and not the wisdom.

I remember being a teen and my mom telling me things that, really, I already knew, and it felt more like nagging than anything else.

  • We all went thru this phase. They just think they know everything. You can't tell them nothing.
