Which works best? bio oil or mederma

  • Any lotion will work.

    Since these ointments require that you rub the skin many times a day, they increase circulation which brings blood to the area and that blood is what actually heals, not the lotion.

  • It depends what you're using it for. Both are good for scars. But if you're using it for stretch marks, neither.

    Stretch marks start in the MIDDLE layer of the skin. Meaning, no amount of lotions or oils will prevent or make them go away.

  • I've used everything and absolutley nothing makes stretch marks go away, but I found that mederma helped them fade some.

  • Neither, they're both a waste of money. I've used both on major & minor scars, and still have all the scars.

  • Never tried Bio-oil but Mederma worked pretty good.
