Is this true about Cinnamon?

one of my coworker's said to me yesterday that I shouldn't drink cinnamon water because I can have a misscarriage. Is this true? or just a myth. For my Mexican lady's out there you know what i'm talking about when I say cinnamon water con leche y azucar! lol

  • Cinnamon is used sometimes in naturopathic medicine and it affects the smooth muscle tissue (read: uterine muscles). You'd have to consume it in very very large quantities, however, for it to cause you problems. Using it as a spice in a drink is harmless. Enjoy your cinnamon water con leche y azucar!
