  • of course I know avon, but the other one you mentioned not. So I think avon might be better since people are familiar with it.

  • Avon was not a good fit for me. That said my mother has been with Avon for nearly 30 years and paid for my wedding with her Avon Income... However, since I do not like the products ( to many chemicals) and there is TONS of competition out there, it simply wasn't a good fit for ME. But there IS money to be made IF you are willing to work your business and you can get excited about the products.

Really, that's the key to ANY home based company like that - Passion & Hard Work!

  • For $10-$20 (depending on where you live) it's not really a loss if you try it and don't like it!

  • Nay. Avon ladies always stalk me after the first time I place an order, lol. I feel like I'm constantly being begged to buy stuff that I don't want. I'd be more likely to order if I wasn't scared of being asked 1,000 times afterward to order again.

  • The pros are it is a familiar brand the cons are, if you are selling it you have to sell a TON to make a decent profit! So many people quit selling because of the very small profit, even when they sell around $1000.00 worth of products and get very little in return. Don't quit your day job for Avon, just do it on the side.

  • We already have so many Avon reps in our area it's not really worth it. Honestly, though, I'm not a fan of selling someone else's products and lining their pockets with my hard work.

  • I love Avon, unfortuntely I don't have time for it anymore :( But where can u start a biz for $10 and sell something that people can afford. The biggest con that I see is that it can get hard keeping up with putting orders in every two weeks when you have a large customer base. I personally know reps who make at least $400 per campaign thats $800 per month, not enough to live on but great extra cash
