How soon after you get a positive pregnancy result should you have it confirmed by a doctor?

  • i would call the day of the positive result. some doctor's offices take a long time to squeeze you in.

  • I called the day I got my pos test and they had me in the office in 3 days.

  • I'd called ASAP. Not like an emergency or anything but no reason to hold off. Prenatal care should start as early as possible.

  • Just call as soon as you get the chance. I would try to do it withing the first couple of days. Its not an emergency, but it does need to be done soon after...

  • I called immediately. But then again I am high risk pregnancy and needed progesterone injections as soon as it was confirmed.

  • You don't HAVE to have it confirmed. When I got my positives, I called, told them, they asked when my LMP was, and scheduled me for 8 weeks out. Never had to go in for another test from them.
