Can Triplets happen natuarally??

??? Just a question
I feel dumb for asking but every set of triplets i have seen or heard of involved fertility drugs or something along the lines.

  • Yes they can....my uncle is a triple and there was NO fertility involved. He as an identical twin brother and a sister. So it was two eggs. It's just the one split to make an identical twin as well.

  • Yea but its rare and its more frequent with fertility drugs because its causes the release of multiple eggs. Twins, triplets,quads and ect. are not genetic its just a chance of it happening

  • My husband worked with a lady who had triplets naturally. She was shocked to say the least. The most common triples are where two are identical & one is a singleton. The next is all three are fraternal. Identical triplets are rare. (I looked it up once because I was curious)

  • Actually, fraternal twins can run in the family through the mom's side. Especially if they are prone to releasing more than one egg at a time.

    identical twins is a "freak of nature" so to speak.
