  • Quick fettuccine

Start with about 1 tbs of butter in a sauce pan and saute some garlic. (we like a lot!) Then add about 1 cup milk. when it begins to simmer melt in 1 8 oz brick of cream cheese. Once it is smooth start slowly melting in about 1/-1 cup Italian blend cheese. add more milk or cheese as necessary to get the consistency you want. Salt pepper. I like to add broccoli. Serve with garlic bread. This recipe makes enough sauce for 16 oz. of pasta... and cost about 6 dollars or less!

  • Beef Stir Fry

    Ingredients - Round Steak
    Baby corn
    Water chestnuts
    Cooking oil

Heat oil in skillet or wok, add grated fresh ginger (we use about a "thumb" measurement, breaking off a piece about as large as your thumb) and garlic (we get it in a bulk container, pre-minced). Add the round steak cut into thin strips and begin to fry until gently brown. Add your veggies (drained). Add soy sauce to the existing juice and baking soda to thicken to taste. Stir often. Can be served alone or over rice. It's my husband's FAVORITE.

Total price, here anyway, is about $25 and it feeds 12.
