Measuring small?

I'm almost 35 weeks and I'm measuring at about 30. We're getting an ultrasound done to see if the baby is growing. Has anyone else experienced this? He's active and heart rate is in the 150's.

  • Measuring small how? Based on the size of your belly? Or based on an ultrasound? Either way, I wouldn't worry too much. I was told my second child had IUGR. He didn't. I just make small babies. I measured small both ways but the u/s was inaccurate by quite a bit.

  • I still wouldn't worry about it too much. I'm sure it's fine. Just follow it up with the u/s.

  • I was wearing small at my appointment two weeks ago (tape measure to uterus measurement), was measuring 27 when I was actually 28 weeks. I got sooo worried. Now I had an appointment today and I was measuring 31 weeks and I'm only 30 weeks. So I wouldn't worry, could be nothing :)

  • Fundal height measurements are WAY inaccurate. Heck, even U/S measurements are notoriously off. Do not worry about it.

  • I know what it's like to worry - My last appt I was 29 wk but measured 27 - which is weird for me b/c I have REALLY big babies. Here I am, 30 weeks and was told today that I don't even look pregnant.
