Acceptable Documents?

My dd is 17, (18 in 3 months) and has completed her GED. Was recently offered a job, and she took it. At the time of orientation - she has a list of things she could bring... ? Can anybody help?

She has

*Drivers Lic'
*Drivers permit (non exp)
*Soc. Sec. Card
*Birth Certificate
*Old school ID card ?

Can you please help? I don't know if thats enough to provide proof of employment?

  • i would also bring something for proof of address..... it would be good if she has a bank statement with her name on it or something like that.

  • Proof of address, Photo ID and Soc Card should be sufficient for any job.

  • Isn't the license good enough for proof of address? Lol.

  • Yes I agree a bank statement with her address would be good, but without an address, a bank key-card is also valid ID. Something from the school with her address? A school report card will count as ID. The school ID card is good if it has not expired. They probably won't use the driving permit if they use the licence though. Does she have any documents relating to membership of clubs or other organisations? Any social securtiy type documents? Passport? Citizenship papers? Previous employment history, even part time or casual? Also references: does she have names addresses and phone numbers of people who will be happy to speak well of her character?

  • She already got the job. She doesn't need references, just needs to bring in that paperwork. READ!!!
