  • 6 cups sliced potatoes, 2 cups sliced onions ( you can omit we prefer onions!), salt & pepper to taste,1/2 cup chicken broth,3/4 heavy cream,1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese.
Place a layer of sliced potatoes in a buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole, follow with a layer of onions and a sprinkling of salt and pepper. Repeat layers, ending with potatoes. Combine chicken broth and heavy cream; pour over potatoes and onions. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes, then top with grated cheese. Return to the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender

  • 2 cups heavy cream
    3 cloves garlic, smashed
    1 bundle thyme
    Pinch of cayenne
    Kosher salt
1/2 stick butter, plus extra for baking dish
2 lbs Potatoes, peeled & sliced very thin (mandoline works best)
    1 1/2 cups grated parmigiano
Directions: 11 by 7-inch baking dish - Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Put the cream, garlic, thyme and cayenne in a saucepan, season w/ salt.(Taste your preference) Bring the cream to a boil, then turn off the heat. Let the mixture steep for 15 to 20 min.
Butter the baking dish & layer in 1/3 of the sliced Potatoes. Sprinkle 1/3 of the grated cheese over the Potatoes & dot with 1/3 of the butter. Remove the thyme & garlic from the cream & pour 1/3 of the cream over the Potatoes. Repeat 2 more times until all of the ingredients are used up. Cover the dish with foil, place on a baking sheet & bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 min. Remove foil & bake 20 min or until golden.
