Burp-less bottles? Vent-aire

Using the Playtex Vent-Aire Advanced bottles, does your baby still burp? We have a 4 month old who does not always burp after drinking from this bottle. Sometimes he does, but many times he does not. I know it doesn't take out all the air, but perhaps he's not getting enough air to warrant a burp? I appreciate you sharing your experiences. I'm a little worried.

  • as long as you're properly burping your baby it should be fine. Infact it should be good that he isn't getting a ton of air. If you're really concerned call your pediatrician

  • It's not because of the bottles. My nephew used those and boy did he burp. Almost on command!!! His mom would prop him up, and before she could pat he'd let out a man-burp!!! :) it all depends on the baby. My dd used nuk bottles and rarely burped. We would try every ounce then every 2, then 3 and so forth.... She was happy, never acted like she had an upset tummy... Doctor said she was an ocassional burper, and as long as she was happy and healthy, she didn't mind her burping every now and then. Does he act like his tummy hurts when he is done eating? Or act uncomfortable?? Maybe trying different positions...

  • No he is not fussy at all. I just thought that you were supposed to get a burp every time. Many times, he just does not burp and, yes, many positions and for several minutes.
