  • not sure what you mean by young moms because while I am not young I am also not old. For Mother's Day I would love a gift card to a book store. I love to read and buy books all the time.

  • I never received a gift from my mother-in-law for Mother's Day, nor did I ever expect to receive one from her. I did however, always get her a gift and a card.

  • Babysitting the next weekend so we could go on a date.. lol wouldn't that be nice? I'll be happy with just seeing her though, she just had back surgery and has been high on pain killers.

  • I don't expect a gift from MIL she is not my child or hubby, so I expect DH to give HER a gift,, and if she wanted to give me a present, maybe she could offer to watch my kid once in awhile,, she has no interest in being a grandma at all,,:(

  • I don't expect to receive one from my MIL since I am not her mother. I would expect to get a card or an 'I love you' from my child though.

  • My mil has never gotten me anything for mother's day, and honestly I don't expect her to.

  • I've always sent Mother's Day gifts to my MIL, however I have never (nor have I ever expected) received anything from here. I am not her mother, why would she give me anything is my way of thinking in regards to that. Mother's Day really isn't something that is traditionally celebrated in India. It's starting to be celebrated, much like Valentine's Day, but it isn't widely celebrated there by the majority of the populous like it is here.
