  • I honestly wish I could spend holidays with both.

With all of us living so far apart (literally spread out across the globe once you start counting all family not just immediate) spending a holiday family is a very rare occasion. I've been married nearly 26 years, my only child is 20 and I can count the number of holidays we have spent with either family on my fingers.

  • I'd rather spend holidays with my mother in law. My family doesn't like my DH and they are completely ignorant about our son's autism. At least MIL loves all of us for who we are, not for what we can bring to the relationship! If I had a nickel for every time someone in my family asked "What's in it for me?" I would NEVER have to worry about money!!
