2 Bumps

Maybe a silly question but I hope someone can give me an answer while I wait for the midwives to call back.

I think I have been having contractions since this weekend and for sure all afternoon. I tried lying on my side after drinking a bunch of water and that didn't do much. Can you go into labor without having your bloody show? I have had a lot of discharge and what I think was my mucous plug but no spotting or blood at all.

Has anyone else gone into labor without having a bloody show?

Now I feel silly. But I just don't know.

  • Yep! With my first two I didn't have on eat all. I am pregnant with my third and I lost my plug and had my "show" several weeks ago and this baby isn't I don't think the two necessarily go hand in hand.

  • Yes, I never had one with either of my kids. time your contractions, if they get stronger and closer together then its time. Just curious but how many weeks are you ? Good luck !!!

  • I went into labor with both my children before having a bloody show or breaking my water. Doc had to break my mucous and water both times.
