Should a parent be allowed to beat their child if they're lazy?

Can someone own a slave as long as they let them go in 7 years?
And it should be legal to kill someone for dishonoring their parents, right?

After all, if it's ok to slice off bits and pieces of a week old baby because someone's religion says so, then it's ok to do all the other things the religion says to do, too, right? It overrides the law of man, doesn't it?

  • *sigh* this is the fifth or so post I've seen on that stupid circumcision debate in San Francisco. I'm done. I've shared my opinion on some of those other posts/threads.

  • There is no law of man outlawing male circumcision so your question makes no sense.

  • I think I missed something here- what law- is this post in reference to something specific-

Circ was a health decision for my family not a religious one- as is vax-
    Beating your child- not OK-
Discipline that includes spanking- a parenting decision not a religious one in my family as well-
