Why am I so sore?

I've been nursing for 8 months and the past week and a half I'm super sore I dread nursing, I don't know if its from her or what she's not nursing anymore then normal. And I'm not cracked or bleeding it feels like its sore from the inside out some times I get a stabbing pain while nursing too. No fever or hard lumps so its not an infection or clogged ducks. I don't want to go to the doctor with no insurance and have another bill if its something that just happens.

  • I would say that if she is sucking too hard ...then its because you have less milk. She is trying to get more. So maybe try pumping when she is not breast feeding so you can keep the milk levels up !

  • I can pump 8 to 12oz in a shot lol no sortage of milk here I'm like a walking cow. Maybe she's on longer at night then I noticed if I fall asleep which I do sometimes and she might be using me as a pasifier. Sometimes she wakes me up when she lachs on out of know where. I think I might have answered my own question lol. Thanks!!!

  • Could it be that she's not latching properly? I know when I breast fed my first, 90% of my soreness issues happened when she wasn't latched well enough. Sometimes I'd have to take her off, reposition, and try again.

  • One does she have thrush? Little white bumps in her mouth? Have you or her taken any antiboitics lately? And two if she is sucking too hard you simply put your finger on thee side of her mouth and it will break thee suction. If she has thrush you both need to be seen thrush can be transferred to your breast back to thee child... Good luck nursing is a wonderful bond that i shared with my son until he was almost 1 yrs old.!!!!
