My mom wants to be called something different other then grandma, nana, or mimi. Any ideas?

This is her first grandchild and she wants a really cool name. I think its because she has been battling breast cancer and when I got pregnant it was the best medicine for her.

  • Oma is what we call my mom. It's german for Grandma.

  • My mom's BFF was called Grand. I think it's a great name.

    My kids call MIL Savta (Hebrew) for grandma; her mom was Omi (Omah.)

  • We say "gamma". I've heard people use "bunny" for grandma too, dunno why. lol

  • i have heard some ladies been call Ge Ge.....mee maw....maw maw.....what is her first name maybe you can play something off that...for example if her name was Julie she could be called JuJu

  • Our son has a Gigi and a Nonna.... my mom didnt want an "old" sounding name so she chose Gigi
