Did you know there is a Republican debate scheduled for May 5th?

There is still a few days for more to join but these few will be getting a leg up on the others. In order to appear they have to have at least filed an exploratory committee. I'm looking forward to hearing what these guys have to say.
The likely GOP candidates that the state party recently announced were expected to participate in the debate—former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, former Louisiana Gov. Buddy Roemer and former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania — only Pawlenty and Roemer have filed paperwork with the FEC. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who has also filed papers legally establishing his candidacy, has not said whether he will participate.

  • Has Mr Donald Trump been invited ?

No, he has not formed an exploratory committee or filed papers to enter the race. If he does either before the 3rd he will be welcome.

  • Janet, since you are so concerned with Trump, ~ you would know where or even if Trunpmstands in the campaign "process"~ I assumed since you brought Trump's name up~ you would be smart enough to understand this part of the article~"In order to appear they have to have at least filed an exploratory committee.". Guess I assumed too much.
