One more question. Can I mix homemade icing with store bought icing?

ok so I am making cupcakes and I have icing only I don't have enough. It was store bought. But because I don't have enough icing and no money until tomorrow and these need done before tomorrow morning I was going to make some homemade icing. Well after I make the homemade icing can I mix it with the store bought icing? It is one thing of store bought....Vanilla

  • Duh, you posted in a public forum. Just hope none of us rat you out about mixing store bought with homemade.

    They track IPs, you know.

  • That's illegal. It ranks right up there with cutting the tag off a mattress.

  • I wouldn't. The fat content of the store bought versus the homemade might make a weird texture or taste. I would frost what cupcakes I can with the store bought then move onto the homemade to be safe. Tint the color with food coloring for a homemade touch.

    P.S. Homemade is always better : )
