Why do people think Christian=super human?

Why do people think that just because you're baptized and call yourself a christian that you are somehow magically altered into a perfect person? Just because I believe in God and have accepted his salvation doesn't mean I no longer judge people, or do/say anything wrong! I'm still a person! Everyone says they hate Christians cause they're so rude, condescending or what ever else reason, but aren't all people that way?! Don't you avoid the make-up counter lady cause she's snobby, or that woman in your social club because she's rude? Just because we're Christians doesn't mean we're super human...for the most part, it just means that we try harder not to piss people off!

  • Good points here. I think a lot of people automatically judge those who say they are Christians because they expect perfection. In reality, we just realize that we are imperfect. (c:

  • I think people are more concerned about the way Christians go around pointing fingers when the Bible says no one is perfect and not to go around pointing fingers at people. The hypocrisy of being a Christian and not really following it in the way we treat others, how some of us go around preaching to others in a negative way that doesn't reflect the true message of Christ at all. Too many act as though being Christian gives them a right to tell everyone else what they're doing wrong, without holding themselves accountable for their own errs - like the very judgment they display....

  • People like to bash Christians because of what some have done. Yet it's not okay to do that with other religions even though the truth is there are bad examples in every religion you look at. My opinion is people are people, none are perfect no matter what religion they are.

  • no one likes have their 'flaws' pointed out, and most people who throw the 3-fingers back at the pointer, who may happen to be xtian, like to quote the infamous 'plank in the eye/judge not' scriptures...funny, ironically, when you think about it. why use a scripture you don't believe in (or its authors, or whomever is thought to be the author)? makes the point moot for me, but that's what happens.
like taking diet-advice from an obese person, isn't it? 'rude, condescending or whatever else' negative traits can transcend xtianity.
we all know xtians, nor anyone else is perfect.
if you feel someone is shoving that incredible impossibility down your throat, just walk away and let them howl. wasted breath.
