  • My husband and I are still trying for our first kid. We have been talking about names forever. I think we will discuss names until we are dead. I just like names and their meanings. It's fun to see the names that others pick too. I have some names I loved when I was younger, but have been ix-nayed now that I am older - they are Shad (too close a name to my BIL), Braydon (too popular these days), Asher (too close to cousin's kids name - Ashton). Oh well, life goes on!

  • Previous names we had picked, but didn't use:
Girls- McKenna Grace, Leah Morgan, Caitlin Elizabeth

Boys- Ashton Cael, Michael William, Gavin Michael

I still like those names, but they have all (except maybe Michael) become much more popular now than they were when I first picked them, so I doubt I will ever use any of them for future children.

  • If my daughter had been a boy, her name would've been Brayden Thomas.

I HATE that name now. Brayden is just wayyyyy too popular. I get tired of hearing Aiden, Jayden, Cayden, Brayden, Hayden, etc.
