Will this affect the baby in an early pregnancy:being around smoke or drinking should that person stop drinking and stay away from smoke?

  • you should stop drinking..although you will get different opinions on this. some support a glass of wine now and then, some say never.
    as for smoking, what you breathe in, your baby will to. by all means, if you smoke, try to stop. if you can't, talk to your doctor about leveling off.
    the first trimester is very important, as is the second and the third.

  • You shouldn't drink or smoke while pregnant. As far as being around people who do, I would avoid smokers due to the fact that you breathe that too...but drinkers only if you think you'll be tempted to join them.
