What is your opinion of this mom?

You see a SAHM with a nanny (3 days a week from 8-2), housekeeper (1 time/week) and 3 small children. Draw your conclusions: Does she need that much help? Are you jealous? Disgusted? Etc.....

  • what's the difference in a hired-nanny and a gma or other female 'friend' who is with a mother all the time, helping care for the kids?
    nothing but money.
i'd love a housekeeper..and i am a sahm, with ds in school all day...i just hate housecleaning!!
    jealous? no.
    disgusted? no.
annoyed that anyone thinks its their business what another mother does/hires? yes!

    I *TOTALLY* agree with this!
I'm a SAHM & I'd jump at the chance of having & nanny & house keeper to help me for even 2 hrs a week!

  • None of my business. I don't know what she does with her time, just because she is a SAHM doesn't mean she isn't active and busy, having help can also allow her time to do things she enjoys with her kids.

  • She could employ a butt-wiper for all I care...as long as the kids are cared for....live and let live.

  • Long ago, I might have made a judgment call. Now, I have learned that juggling two kids is a lot so three must be harder. Secondly, she probably doesn't want to spend all her time doing Mommy stuff and can use the break and maybe she doesn't have time to clean. So, today, I'd just be jealous!!

  • I can and only will speak for myself.

Have no opinion in regards to her as a person, as a mother, or her ability as a mother.. I do not know her. Also, I will not make a judgment in regards to a woman's humanity, mothering abilities, nor her feelings for her children based on such trivial information.

  • I can't see having a nanny but a housekeep if I could afford it then I would.

  • I would roll my eyes, but I wouldn't say anything. If she wasn't working from home and just had all that extra help, I would wonder what it is she thought she contributed to the family. That said, it is a lot of assumptions to make.
