How much did you/ would you pay for a large dog crate?

I'd just like an idea on what to expect for prices. My dog is 73 lbs and only 11 months old so I know I'll need a large crate. The issue is he hates being alone, if he's left alone for several hours he'll sometimes chew up shoes though that's rare - what I really want the crate for is when he's left alone for short periods of time like when I go to the little market up the street or bring my kids to the bus stop in the morning, during those times he just pulls out shoes and clothes and leaves them around the house.

  • The metal crate are usually more expensive then th inclosed plastic crates. Depending on the size of the do the metal ones can be anywhere from 100 to 250. I paid $80 dollars for my 80 ib dogs crate. It was one of the plastic crates.

  • I think that it depends on the crate, whether they are made out of wood, metal, or canvas. You could probably get one pretty cheap in the paper(used) I was pricing crates for my dog and I noticed there were some for a hundred dollars.

  • Check the used listings first and see if you can get one second-hand. Then wash out with water/clorox blend.

  • yea I tried looking in the classified, but they only had small or medium crates and outdoor kennels. Hopefully DH will find a deal on one this weekend.
