  • Are you breast feeding or forumla feeding?

What makes you think he is not eating enough?

    How is he acting?

I would venture to guess that my 8 week old that was on formula ate maybe less than 20 oz a day...I remember making 2 oz bottles but I can't remember how often she would eat them...every four hours or so.

  • Multiply your baby's weight times 2.5 ounces
the rule of thumb is to offer him 2.5 ounces of formula per pound of body weight each day.

So if your baby weighs 6 pounds, you'll give him about 15 ounces of formula in a 24-hour period. If he weighs 10 pounds, he should drink about 25 ounces in a 24-hour period.

  • PLEASE call your pediatrician, ask to speak to the nurse, and ask her just to make sure :)
