Why do they make red andwhite clothing?

I have articles of clothing that are red and white. How do I wash them so the red doesn't bleed into the white? I am talking about a shirt with both red and white on the shirt for example, I don't wash my reds and whites together.

  • Hand wash in the sink or machine wash seperately, then hang to dry.

  • I just wash with cold water the way I normally wash clothing. I've never had an issue with bleeding.

  • I use cold water for all my wash, so that helps with bleeding to begin with, but with brights, I use the shout color catcher sheets. The sheets come out coated with dye and it makes me wonder how my clothes ever came out right without them! I think they're about $3 for 20 or 25 sheets, and I only use them with my brights, so a box lasts a while.
