video camera question

I am looking into getting a video camera. I have never had one, and I noticed that most of them have the mini dvds. Do those play on a dvd player? If not, how do you play them?

  • They should play on a dvd player, they should sit in the middle of the player (the smaller circle)

  • Most DVD players have a little inset in the disc-holder for mini DVDs. I don't think I've seen one yet that doesnt.

  • I just got a new camcorder and I got one- the Sanyo Xacti- that uses a memory card, like my digital camera uses. It takes pics and can work like a webcam also. And you can take the memory card and insert it in your computer- if you have the capabilities on your machine- and burn it onto a DVD (instead of a mini-dvd). Or you could take the card to WalMart or Target to probably get it burned onto a DVD there.
