I read online a remedie that will help get rid of my DH's tonsilitis, does this sound like too many vitamins?

1000mg vitamin c
15mg iu beta carotene
3mg garlic oul
vitamin e

does this sound like too much or do you think it would be ok to try?

  • Not at all. Vitamin C is water soluble so you can't OD on it; whatever the body doesn't use just gets flushed out.

    Beta carotine is a precursor to Vitamin A; there are forms that are water soluble so if he's using that form, the same goes in that you can't have too much (just like Vitamin C). If it's a fat soluble version, well, at that dosage, there's no danger of it being too toxic to the liver, even with the garlic oil and vitamin E (both fat-soluble). Those levels you posted are well below (not even worth worrying about, really, since they're so miniscule) any level of danger.

  • that does sound like to many vitamins here is a list of things for him to try that might be better for him. chickweed, garlic/onion, honey, kudzu, kumquat, lemon,lime, loquat, tropical fruit, vanilla. See if any of this might help him.
