How much does your two year old drink a day??

I feel like my son is ALWAYS thirsty! I must fill his sippy cup like fifteen to twenty times a day! I've had him tested for juvenile diabetes and it was negative. His pediatrician told me he's just a thirsty kid.

  • Two cups of milk, and usually around 3-4 cups of water. If I allow him to have juice he will drink more, but only because he likes the taste and not because he's really thirsty. When he drinks more, he eats less.

  • Are you kidding me??? the one thing my son does better than drinking is eating, he LOVES food!

And he only gets juice or milk with meals any other time it's water

  • Maybe he has a high metabolism or just an active kid?

  • My son drinks a lot!! try to encourage more water but this kid loves his milk! :) I asked my doc about it and he said that is fine as long as he is drinking something. I wouldn't be worried!
