At 3 years old, did your child still use a booster seat at the kitchen table?

I'm a bit tired of taking her in and out all day!

  • No. Pretty much only until they were 2...not all the way until 3.

  • DD is 5 and we just took hers off the chair. She's still a bit too short for just sitting regular in the chair and it can be a bit messy for her to eat, but she wanted it removed, so we did so.

  • nope i usually let them eat on their knees once they're old enough to stay for dinner without running away

  • they like to be a "big kid" and not use the booster seats.
It's totally up to when you feel your child is ready.

  • She still uses it, she's almost 3 but she gets up and down and I don't buckle her. My 1 1/2 does the same thing.

  • If they like it and it is no trouble why not. We had a Booster chair and my son loved it. He was sad to see it go, even though he hadn't used in years!

  • No DD she sits on her knees in a chair now. Has since she was about 18 months when she flipped her high chair over and broke her leg! She never went back in it!! DS used a chair top booster than strapped on until he was almost 4. I have one still but never got it out for DD. I don't know why...

  • Mine prefers it still and is almost 4 years old, but she gets in and out on her own and doesn't get buckled. I haven't pushed the issue because I don't see it as a big deal. She does sit inthe regular seats whenwe go somewhere else though.
