  • The last time i bought make-up i bought from avon, ii spent about $35 on the mineral set...honestly you can spend more OR less from the drugstore or walmart..its all about what you like and what you can afford..and also how much make up you use. I use a good bit foundation,,blush, eye shadow,liner,mascara...that can get pricey...it helps if you can make it last. Only use it when you absolutley need. that helps it last alot longer =-)

  • I buy my foundation and primer (Smashbox brand) at Ulta; a little pricey (the brand, not the store) but I don't wear makeup every day so it lasts a real long time.

I buy Argan Oil (use it as my moisturizer) at Sephora. Again, a little pricey but a little goes a long way so it lasts forever.

I buy my mascara (L'Oreal), eye shadow (Almay) and lip gloss (various brands) at Target or drug stores - they all carry the same stuff.

  • Sephora.com from now on. I thought people were BSing when they said that higher end brands were better than drugstore until I tried them. Not sure where I'll be buying foundation, though. I'm going to wait until I run out of the crap I have and then go from there. I'll probably test some at Belk or somewhere and then if I don't like it, but find the right color, I'll get online and order some from a different brand after I figure out which color to use. Sephora has an awesome return policy, and they sell really great products (and most of the "high end" cosmetics aren't tested on animals like drugstore brands are, so that was a big selling point for me as well).
