Should I buy a new carseat for our second baby or use the last one?

We had my son almost 4 years ago and we still have the old car seat in our garage. Should we just use that or do you think it would be safer to buy a new one?

  • If I remember correctly carseats are good for 5 years (unless its been in an accident). So check that expiration and save your $$$!

  • I would do some research and make sure it hasn't been recalled, and find out what the expiration date is.

  • Check for recalls, but if the seat has never been in an accident, and is not expired, and works properly, you can use it. If it's 4 yrs old, it might be close to expiration, so keep an eye on that.
