  • Does your son like yogurt? Make sure your child gets Gatorade/Pedilyte so he doesn't get dehydrated.

  • not much can be done. Once he is starting to feel a little better some home made pedialyte would be good and some pro-biotics like Flora for kids. (ask you pharmacist) The recipe for home made pedialyte is

    2 quarts water
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    7 teaspoons sugar
    1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup fresh-squeezed or bottled orange juice

start with a little hot water to dissolve the powders. Works good as Popsicles as well.

  • I will mix the flora for kids into 4 oz of the solution the home made solution. I use the home made because pidealyte is expensive and my kids won't drink it anyway!

  • Yogurt...Make sure it's Dannon or another one with the natural acidophilus in it...If he's vomitting or diahrea (spelled right?) make sure he gets lots of liquid and something to replenish his electrolytes, like pedialyte ...
