Is the price of food going to skyrocket because of the death of Bin Laden?

I was in the restroom at work and overheard coworkers talkng about this and that they heard it on the news.
I am extremely worried about this as I can't hardly feed my family as it is now.

  • There is no logic behind that quesion.... his death should not change prices on anything.

  • It costs money to ship food. You have to DRIVE it. Now the cost of fuel will leak down onto the consumer. Only fair.

  • The price of oil went down 2% overnight because we killed bin laden now if they decide to riot in the middle east over this then gas (and everything else) would go back up.

  • It has nothing to do with Bin Laden. It has everything to do with rising gas prices.

  • The rising cost of food has nothing to do with Bin Laden's death. It is related to the price of oil which affects not only the cost of shipping food but also the cost of producing it.
