  • Personally I think we are still in the same boat as before. We still have more terrorist and upset people over there. Who knows if they are planning revenge or not against us. This country and every other country is always at risk. I wont be celebrating Osama's death or any other acheivement until troops are brought home safely because overall, that is the ultimate prize, to have family, neighbors, and all other americans home.

  • Nope. Osama Bin Laden has trained many. Many of those will now fight in his name.

  • nope, now we will have the backlash and a chance at a more radical leader taking his place. we will never be "safer" until everyone learns to get alone, which will never happen.

  • No I don't. I'm sure he had subordinates who will take his place. Having Bin Laden gone is a good thing. It doesn't make us safe.

  • Safer? That remains to be seen but I tend to think not.

What we have now is the potential scatter organization without a recognized head. However, there are subordinates, local factions and regional groupings of Al Qaeda. Someone will step in and take over. It's naive to think the whole thing crumbles just because one evil mastermind is taken down. Where he falls, more will rise.

That said, I think we did what we had to do and I'm glad it's done.
