  • My daughter started taking just one a day at around 12 months. She still does that now at 16 months, it's usually a 2 hour nap around noon.

  • Because we have to get up at 6:30a.m. my 14mo old daughter usually takes a 2 hour nap about 8:30 and another 1-2 hour nap around 2p.m.

  • At 12 mos my twins were still taking two naps. Their morning nap started between 8:30 and 9 (whatever was two hours after waking) and their p.m. nap started between 12:30 and 1.

Between 14 and 15 mos they made the transition to one nap. Once I knew they were ready to go to one nap I'd give them lunch early (like 10:00) then put them down for a nap. (They'd consequently go to bed earlier in the evening-6:30 instead of 7). Each day I pushed lunch back by a half hour until I got to lunch at 12 followed by a nap. I also kept the earlier bed time at night until they were well adjusted to their new schedule.

  • 1 to 3 hours, starting at about noon. Sometimes he gets really tired and crashes for about 30 minutes at around 6.

  • My daughter is 16mo and takes two naps. She sleeps a full 14hrs at night, then 2 hrs after waking takes a 2hr nap, then usually about 3 or 4 hrs later takes a 1-2 hr nap. She sleeps alot but is also VERY active! Dr says it is alot but she is perfectly healthy, and she is VERY well behaved... usually when they act up alot it is b/c lack of sleep so naps are important!
