Is it too soon to apply with USDA home loan services?

we applied 3 years ago and got turned down cause we had 10k in past due medical bills. in just 2 more months that will be paid off so we will have zero debt. we been at the same house for 4 years and got a contract with direct tv and us cellular lil over a year ago. and we never been late on any of our bills. my husband been at his job 4 years and i just finished college(paid with pell grants) and got my certified pharm tech license. your thoughts, advice?

  • is the free credit report you're entitled to every year. you can see what you owe and bad debts and when they will no longer be reported. If you want a score u'd have to pay for that though.

  • Ummmm? You CAN NOT be turned down for a loan for past due medical bills. They are NOT allowed to be considered in credit issues. Apply again for the USDA loan. There is no time limit to how often you can or cant apply for one. What your actual fico credit score at the time you apple is what matters. Not how long you have been on a job, or how long you have lived at any one address. You may also need a certain % down these days, as well as having a combined credit score of 720 to get a 30 fixed home loan these days.
