How do you find percent off?

I have a 10% off card I can use. How do I find how much 10% off is on the price?

  • Move the decimal point over EXAMPLE. 10% off of 10.00 is 1.00. 10% off of 45.00 is 4.50...subtract 4.50 from 45.00. That is the price.
WHen it is not easy , such as 25 %, you will have to multiply "in your head" which is what I do or get a little calculator. 25% off off 20.00 is 20.00 X .25. the .25 is 25%. Hope that helps.
