How much money as a gift do you give the groom and bride at a destination wedding?

  • I give destination weddings a much smaller gift, since my gift is travelling to your wedding and spending more money for a room and food and such. I usually consider that my gift.

  • I don't think the fact that it is a "destination wedding" has anything to do with how much money you give them. I would say it depends on whether or not they are family...or close friends....or just acquaintences... and how you feel about them .

  • Well, I'd add in whether or not I was going to the destination wedding. I'd be more inclined to give a bigger gift if I wan't out thousands of dollars getting myself to their wedding. If the trip isn't breaking the bank, then I'd give the usual gift.
