Favorite Kitchen Tip

What is your favorite kitchen tip given to you?

Mine is to never use the same cutting board for meats as you do for bread, veggies and fruit.

  • mine is a few dollars worth of fresh lemons can do many things. mirco-wave them and the fumes clean and also aromotherapy the inside of the microwave. Also send a few chopped up down the trash disposal to clean and scent it

  • my fav all purpose cleaner. 1cup vinegar, 1 cup water, and a little lemon juice in a spray bottle. Love it! Plus if you wash your counters and floors w/ it you won't get ants. They don't like vinegar. There is no smell after it dries!

  • If you over-salt a pot of soup, just drop in a peeled potato. The potato will absorb the excess salt.

  • After cutting/chopping onions rub your hands under running water with something that is stainless steal. I use a spoon. It takes the smell right out of your hands.
