  • It happened to me. All 5 of my kids were born lactose intolerant and I drank milk during my pregnancies.

  • Babies can be born allergic to milk whether the mom drinks TONS or none.

My mom drank NONE. I have a slight intolerance now, but, not as a small kid.

  • Allergies are a crap shoot, some kids get them from you, some don't.

  • My daughter has a milk allergy, not just a lactose intolerance, and I drank plenty of milk during my pregnancy. She has several other food allergies as well but her father and I have none. So it definitely happens.

  • My first was colicky and couldn't tolerate milk or formula. It was horrible until we discovered he could tolerate banana mush. He was so skinny. :( Luckily it all cleared up and now he can eat anything.
