How should I respond?

I just had to e-mail someone about snack bar duties for my daughter's t-ball team, and she responded by telling me that she just had a few surgeries and that she was also just diagnosed with cancer and not to worry about the snack bar...I obviously want to give her a big thank you, but how do I properly address the cancer diagnosis? I want to say something positive and not just brush it under the rug like she didn't mention it...any suggestions?

  • I would tell her you're sorry about her diagnosis and if she needs anything you are willing to help out.
