How long do you normally bleed after having a miscarriage?

Not sure which category to put this in...

I had a miscarriage about 5 and a half weeks ago. I had some spotting two or three days prior to that. I think I was between 5 and 7 weeks pregnant. Is it normal to still be bleeding?

  • i had a mc last year at 7 weeks and something days, i bled for about 3 weeks..and the doctor became concerned and did an internal ultrasound to see if i needed a d&c..but thankfully i didnt, there was only one very small clot left and i passed it no problem..you should definetly let your ob know that your still bleeding..
