How long can sperm last in sterile cup??

i have a friend who is willing to donate his sperm to me but he live 20 minutes away. how long can his sperm last for me to be able to reach home and do the insamination??

  • he is just donating the sperm. i really dont want to have sex so i am doing it the complicated way.

  • Sperm are viable for a good 24 hours outside if the male body. Anything after 24 hrs and you want a new sample because they become damaged.
