I am thinking of homeschooling my children. In fact my husband and I are positive that we want to.
My oldest is only 4, so I do still have a year to look into it. I am trying to find more info. and was wondering if anyone knew of any helpful websites on " how to start " . Basically if there are "rules" or guidelines that I have to follow, if there are certain things that I have to prove that I have taught, etc.
we live in ohio.

This site has some good information- http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/laws/blOH.htm. I would also call your local district to see if they require anything extra and to make sure you have all the up to date info about homeschooling in your area.

I'm in Ohio too. Check out our state page too. http://education.ohio.gov/GD/Templates/Pages/ODE/ODEDetail.aspx?Page=3&TopicRelationID=698&Content=101367 I belong to HLSDA, but you don't want to use that as your only source. I'd like to suggest you join Happyhomeschoolers group for you to join here, on CM.
