What does the baby drink?

DD1 was BF but formula supplemented for the first four months, then formula from 4-6mos, then formula mixed with a little bit of moo (in gradually increasing amounts) til she was fully drinking the moo at 1 year and no more formula. She also had various juices. Now that she'll turn 4 (in ten days! where has the time gone???), her favorite thing is moo or apple juice.

DD2 was BF only til 4mos when she was hospitalized. Hospital switched her to formula only. At her 6mos checkup, they changed formulas and okayed juices, but she doesn't like them yet so of course I'm not forcing it. Apparently the doc doesn't want her to stop formula for at least a year past her hospitalization.

This is NOT a "which is better" question, so can we please not fight over that? I'm just curious what our offspring enjoy drinking.

  • mine all started breast fed, switched to formula at varying points, none of them really liked juice until they were around 2 so they drank mainly water with some milk. now that my youngest is 4 they drink mainly water, a little bit of milk, and a little bit of juice, with the occasional gatorade.

  • Moo = cow's milk, lol. I'm not sure why I said it like that. *shouldn't post things on websites when running on fumes at 2a* :)

  • She's okay, but the ped isn't concerned about various "normal abnormal" things she has going on. I insisted on a referral, so we're going to see a geneticist in June.
