  • Whenever it smells. Every few weeks. I also put it in the dishwasher.

  • I use dish rags that I can bleach usually. I keep them up between 1 and 3 days, it depends on if it starts to smell funny.

  • I use a cloth and it gets changed every 2 days. I don't wash many by hand as I have a dishwasher.

  • LOL. Sad to say, when it looks like it needs it. I do clean it from time to time in bleach...especially when it looks perfectly fine but I'm just in an ultra germ-a-phobe mood.

  • Sponges are a playground for bacteria. I never use sponges. I use dish cloths. 1 per day. At the end of the day, it goes in the laundry. Each day begins with a fresh dish cloth.

  • about twice a month. but it goes in the dishwasher almost daily.

I save the old ones, though, for outside summer projects. the kids clean their sandbox out, slides, swings, etc.

  • replace it? the only sponge in this house is on a mop that is only used to soak up things that are spilled or the back porch! if it gets used inside at all I disinfect the area afterwards!

sponges are about the germiest things known to man and I think they are gross. I don't keep them in my house, yuck!
