What would you do with a huge white Kimono?

My cousin gave it to me for my wedding and I've kept it out of politeness, but I'm moving and I just can't stand the thought of it anymore! Seriously, I'd rather have a white elephant! I don't know what category to put it in.

  • I'd just get rid of it any way I could. Gift, sell, whatever.

  • Don't take it with you. "It must have gotten lost in the move." It helps to lose some other items as well, so as not to look suspicious.

  • If you don't want it then sell it. I would frame it and hang it on my wall.

  • Knowing me? Depending on what it was made of...am assuming silk, satin, etc.... I would cut it up and make it into purses, bears, doll clothes, aprons. Something like that. I love to repurpose great fabric.

  • I had one that my parents got in Japan in the 50's, I had it cleaned and then cut it up, mounted the design and hung them on the wall.
