  • I'm thinking another recession (or continuation of the last one since I never bought the whole bit about how the recession had ended).

  • I believe all reposts suggest it's continuing to grow but i could give a crap about reports. It sure seems like things are getting crappier and crappier.

  • We're told by "the powers that be" that it's sooo much better! But I think most would agree, unemployment is still a major issue and the prices of everything just continue to climb. I would imagine that most of us have made changes due to the high costs, there's not much we can do about gas, except pay and limit our driving to only what's necessary...

    Good for you xmama!

  • personally, i do not see any growth. my husband was recently laid off at his job working for a family owned business. they laid him off because they could no longer afford him. he has been searching daily now for almost 2 months and absolutely nothing, nothing at all has happened. i would say we are (still) in a recession.

  • I'm going with getting worse. We ARE taking a vacation with my step dad, but he's paying for the hotel/gas and we are to pay for food, and I've been packing food for days now so I can spend as little as possible!
If gas hits four bucks a gallon here I'm going to have to make more cuts.

  • Recession. No matter how many raises my husband gets, 4 percent in October and now oncall pay, we keep getting farther behind. And we do live within our means. No car payments and we pay mostly cash for everything. Our insurance has gone through the roof(health) and our out of pocket expenses are more. As well as EVERYthing else. And too many people I know are out of work. There are also empty houses on every street with nasty little papers on the front doors but the news definately tries to tell me otherwise.
