Any pointers for an impulsive child?

Ways to avoid it? To get her to think before she acts? She get's over excited really fast too.

  • Is it bad stuff or good? If its positive, and not hurting anything I would just let her be herself.

  • Rewarding good behavior and self control can often help when punnishing the impulses does not. It does take a while for the system to develop.

    Also, have you had your doctor evaluate her to see what conditions may be contributing the the impulsiveness?
